Do I need waterproofing before finishing my basement?
We assess every basement for moisture before recommending finishing. If there's any evidence of water intrusion, we address it first — either with interior drainage and sump systems or exterior waterproofing. Finishing over a moisture problem is a mistake we won't make.
Can a finished basement add an egress window or bedroom?
Yes. We regularly add egress windows and window wells to create code-compliant bedrooms in finished basements. An egress window typically costs $2,500–5,000 including excavation and installation.
How long does a basement finish take?
Most finished basements take 6–12 weeks depending on scope. A full buildout with bathroom rough-in, electrical, and custom built-ins takes longer than a straightforward rec room. We give you a project schedule at the estimate stage.
Do you handle basement bathroom plumbing?
Yes — we handle full bathroom additions in basements, including rough-in plumbing, fixtures, tile, and all finish work. We coordinate licensed plumbers and electricians as part of the project.
